"And it came to pass, that, when Abraham's servant heard their words, he worshipped the LORD, bowing himself to the earth." Genesis 24:52
Abraham sends his servant to find Isaac a wife, the servant asks the LORD for help and Rebekah becomes Isaac's wife. As a good father Abraham wants to provide for his son before he dies. As a good servant the servant obeys his master.
However it is half way through that this servant has the same attitude as we should have
"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;" Colossians 3:23
The servant recognises that provision has come from the LORD and his natural response is to worship.
Today, in all you do (whether at work or home)remember to do it well as if you are serving the Lord, worshipping Him by obedience.
